I just acquired an LF short, 35-55# limbs, S/N LTQ2119. The string looks like new and is 43-1/2" long with no twists. The sticker on the bow indicates a string length of 43-1/2". However, the draw weight max's out at 48#, not 55#.

The LFM Spec sheet on this website calls for a string length of 43-1/4". Perhaps that would help increase the max draw weight.

I just received the cam modules I ordered from Joe. Thanks, Joe. Included in the package is a spec sheet for old bows: Tom Cats through LFM's. That sheet matches what is on the web site except it indicates a string length of only 43" for the short LFM.

Looks like I need a new shorter string. But what length should I try. Trial and error can get expensive. What should I do?

We use a 43 inch string on the lfm bows. Your bow being an lf model would use the same string. As for not making poundage it may be caused by a couple different issues. Give me a call tommorow if you can and we can go over this if you like.

Checked and rechecked and everything seems OK except max poundage. Tiller and brace height are nearly perfect. Having talked to Joe, we decided to replace the power cables to try to increase the poundage. Am replacing the yoke cables too since the old ones look, well, old.

New cables came in today's mail, Joe. So, I will be busy this afternoon. Might even get the LF together in time to shoot a bit. Will let you know how things turn out. Thanks

Tony

Sounds good Tony, let us know how the oneida light force magnum is shooting when you finish. How many pounds were you able to get from the bow? Normally oneida bows can get a few more pounds draw weight.

Got it back together and had to quit for dinner. As a kid on the farm, never liked working with wire rope (cable). Today brings it all back. Uncle Gus (LTC US Army, retired, deceased) would have said, "like pounding melted butter up a wildcat's A... with a table fork!

Anyway, bow is at 45# and in tiller. I haven't had a chance to crank it down all the way, but it looks like it has quite a ways to go before bottoming out. When I drew it last to check draw weight, it was making a clicking sound just before reaching full draw. Need to check that out before I go to max draw weight. Otherwise, it looks and feels good.

More later.

Checked and tightened timing cable. Didn't need it, but I did it anyway. Clicking sound still there, but subdued. Don't hear it on the draw, just when I begin the let down. Looked everywhere for clearance issues. It looks like the yoke cable barely clears the PDC or maybe not. I will have to get my wife to watch it for me.

Cranked draw weight as high as it would go. Scale says 59 pounds (power limbs are 35-55). Cranked it back down to 55; checked tiller and reinstalled accessories. Tomorrow we'll find out what it does when it actually shoots an arrow.

Found source of clicking sound late last night. I had turned one power cable retaining screw too far into the cam such that it protruded out the other side and was in conflict with the timing wheel. Backed the screw out a turn or two and all was well. Shot the bow this morning with a makeshift sight and no peep. Bow shoots well which is more than I can say for me. And it seems quieter than my BE-II.

Forgot to thank Joe, again and some more. Original cable order not received. Joe promptly sent another. All has worked out well, and I felt that Joe was behind me ready to help all the way. Thanks.

Tony

Your welcome Tony, when you said the oneida light force magnum was not making the pounds listed on the bow this is very unusual. Dont know what happened to the first order lol. Another great oneida bow back together and shooting. Congradulations
